TOMS End Gun Violence Together
TOMS has always operated under the strategy of using business to improve lives through their giving model. In December of 2018, TOMS launched a national campaign called, End Gun Violence Together, to urge Congress to pass a universal background checks bill. TOMS created a portal for citizens to fill out a form that would result in a postcard being printed in their name and ultimately hand-delivered to their Congressional representative by TOMS’ affiliates and employees. This was an introduction to expanding the company’s previous giving model (One-for-One) and address some of the most pressing issues of today.
Task
Along with other designers working on the campaign, I designed assets primarily for the digital space, some of which were then translated to print graphics. This included web banners, landing page layouts, original artwork, and emails.
After gathering a lot of momentum and postcard sign-ups for the campaign, TOMS was ready to tease the next phase: taking the campaign on the road to Washington D.C. to hand-deliver the postcards to congresspeople.
To tease the announcement of the next milestone phase of the campaign, I illustrated an icon that would hint at what was to come. This would be used across social media, web, and posters.
